Performance Art (photographic still)

Students will learn about the practices employed in a number of works presented in the CIFO space current exhibition, Frames and Documents: Conceptualist Practices. Using works in the exhbition as starting points, students will develop proposals that will be realized in the form and/or language descriptive of Performance Art.

The workshop will function in three parts,

First, students will be introduced to a number of basic practices and ideas of Performance Art in relationship to the current exhibition at CIFO space.
Then, they will develop a proposal/sketch that will function as a basis for their own performances. Lastly, students will peform their performances in groups, as well as, individually.
