Marianne Hernandez

As Finance Advisor to the Board of a regional Latin American conglomerate of companies in the agro-industrial and energy sectors, Ms. Hernandez has led a number of business development, financing and mergers and acquisitions initiatives in the last ten years.

Prior to transitioning to corporate finance in 2003, Ms. Hernandez had an eight-year career in investment banking. Ms. Hernandez held positions as Investment Banking Vice-President, Head for Venezuela and Colombia for Lehman Brothers, New York; and Associate in the Latin American Merchant Banking Group at Bankers Trust, New York. Ms. Hernandez is currently involved in a number of non-profit organizations, including acting as Director of Pacunam, a foundation that supports leading archeological projects in the Mayan biosphere in Guatemala.

In 2012, Ms. Hernandez collaborated with CIFO Europa’s fundraising efforts to procure equipment and installation requirements to more than 40 artists participating in the XI Havanna Biennal. Ms. Hernandez, an enthusiast of Latin American contemporary art, resides between Miami and Guatemala City. She graduated from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania (1988), with a dual degree in Finance and Political Science.
