Cecilia Fajardo-Hill

Cecilia Fajardo-Hill is a British-Venezuelan art historian and independent curator of contemporary art. She holds a Master’s degree in 20th Century Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, and a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Essex. She was the Director of Sala Mendoza, an alternative art space in Caracas, Venezuela, from 1997-2001. From 2005-2008, Fajardo-Hill served as Director and Chief Curator for CIFO and the Ella Fontanals-Cisneros Collection, and from 2009-2012 served as Chief Curator at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach, California. She has also worked with several acclaimed artists, curating solo exhibition for names such as Laura Anderson, Mona Hatoum, and Steve McQueen, and has written extensively on the work of contemporary Latin American art and artists. She is currently based in Los Angeles.
