Roberto Jacoby

Roberto Jacoby is an Argentinean conceptual artist and sociologist. His early participation with Instituto di Tella, which later led to the production of the piece, Tucuman Arde (1968), helped to establish his work. Most of his work has been done in collaboration with other artists. Jacoby was a song writer for the rock band Virus, founder of the image-free art publication Ramona, and founder of Proyecto V. Jacoby has investigated social conflicts and epistemology subjects and participated in dematerialized art experiences throughout the use of mass media. He was invited to the São Paulo Biennial in 2010 and held a solo exhibition at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid in 2011. He currently directs the Centro de Investigaciones Artisticas. More information
