Point of View: An Anthology of the Moving Image,

April 23, 2004

Point of View: An Anthology of the Moving Image brings together eleven leading artists from different generations and cultural backgrounds, each of whom has made a significant impact on the fields of film, video, and digital imagery: Francis Alÿs, David Claerbout, Douglas Gordon, Gary Hill, Pierre Huyghe, Joan Jonas, Isaac Julien, William Kentridge, Paul McCarthy, Pipilotti Rist, and Anri Sala.

Conceived as a contemporary anthology of the moving image, Point of View: An Anthology of the Moving Image showcases a wide spectrum of artistic approaches and conceptual strategies that define the medium today. From internationally acclaimed figures to influential pioneers, the exhibition responds to the growing demand for broader access to time-based media art. These works—often experienced through large-scale installations in museums, galleries, and international biennials—reflect the artists’ diverse contributions to shaping the language of video, film, and digital practice in contemporary art.
